Was really nice to see a highly polished animation from you! It was kinda short, but plenty of action and exposition. After a few seconds I recognized the musical score used :) VA's were sharp, clear and well intonated.

Thanks! It was really nice to finally make one. Unfortunately the series is going to have fairly short episodes, but hopefully that just means there will be more of them to watch. I'm a huge fan of the song I used in this episode it's really a powerful piece all on its own, and I'm so lucky to work with such amazing voice actors I really hope they stick around hahaha.

In lieu of a review, which would take more time than I have available right now, let me just say that that was absolutely terrific all round, such a gentle piece of animation, with strange undertones, but a soft crust and exquisitely drawn.

Thanks! I'm glad you caught on to the undertones. The original story was written for my Eden series which has a bit more of an odd atmosphere to it. I'm not to sure if that will be explored too much further in the Peppersweet series. I have a handful of episodes written out so far and they carry mostly a cherry disposition to them, but if I stick with the series long enough, you can definitely expect the strange undertones to resurface, as I eventually want to tie things back to Eden.
